C-Murder Launches Anti-Violence Campaign

In a stroke of apparent irony, C-Murder has announced his plans to team up with Reverend Toris Young for an anti-violence effort in Louisiana this week.

Despite their troubles with the law (C-Murder is waiting to be re-tried for murder and Young was convicted of identity theft), both men pledged their involvement with initiative that is said to include anti-crime rallies and efforts to improve recreation and youth internship programs.

Murder (born Corey Miller) revealed his plans during a press conference outside his grandmothers home, where he is currently confined on house arrest, says The Times-Picayune.

"I stand before you today a new man that's ready, willing, able to do everything in my power to bring an end to these senseless murders," C-Murder told reporters. "Get it right, this movement is not about Corey Miller, or anything other person. It's about our kids, our future, and our safety."

When asked questions about their criminal history, both men refused to comment. Reporters also asked why they should be taken seriously, to which Young answered, "I've resolved any issues I've had, way in the past. That has no relevance and no issue here today."
