According to the estimates from HitsDailyDouble.com, 50 Cent's latest project, Before I Self Destruct, will sale approximately 160,000 copies, and miss out on the #1 spot.
Singer/songwriter John Mayer looks to take that top spot with sales of 275,000-300,000 for his latest release, Battle Studies. 50's estimates could result in him landing as far as # 4 on the charts, as it also has releases from Norah Jones, Casting Crowns, and Andrea Bocelli to contend with.
Despite the fact that, Before I Self Destruct leaked onto the web in its entirety almost a month ago, the Queens-bred rapper remained hopeful in terms of sales. In an interview with G-Unit Radio, he explained why saying: "...I'm expecting it to do good because of the response that I've heard from the web. You know what I mean? It's obvious they didn't expect me to write the things I wrote on the actual record, but I don't know why." The leak forced Interscope to push up the release date from November 23 to November 16.
If the projected numbers are accurate, Before I Self Destruct will be 50 Cent's lowest debut week ever, but digital sales from iTunes also have to be added into the first weeks sales.
