Rosemond has confessed to being directly involved in the 1994 shooting of Tupac Shakur.

Although speculation about Jimmy Rosemond’s involvement in the event has always been rife, there has never been any evidence to link Rosemond irrefutably with the incident. Tupac Shakur was shot a number of times outside the Quad Studios in New York City, remarkably surviving the attack.

However, transcripts obtained by The Village Voice of Rosemond’s recent drug trial, reveal statements from the prosecution referring to Rosemond’s confession.

“Now, in particular, there are some statements where the defendant [Rosemond] spoke about acts of violence…Mr. Shargel made comments about the origin of the Chuck Phillips article, which has to do with the shooting of Tupac Shakur in 1994; in particular, the defendant has made admission that he was involved in this particular shooting,” said prosecutor Soumya Dayananda, according to the official transcripts of Rosemond’s trial.

Allegedly, Rosemond admitted to being involved in the shooting during a Queen For A Day proffer session with the government in 2011.

Rosemond’s confession came not long after the ringleader of the attack on Tupac Shakur, Dexter Isaac, confessed to his own involvement.
