Details have appeared online of the near-fatal shooting of Three 6 Mafia rapper, Crunchy Black.

Black was shot on Sunday (July 1), but the details of the event were unavailable until now. Initially, the extent of his injuries, and the location and time of the shooting were unknown.

TMZ reports that Crunchy Black was shot in Las Vegas in the morning of July 1. The rapper was shot in the face and leg, according to reports. The Las Vegas Metro Police Department states that Crunchy (born Darnell Carlton) was shot at 3.30am.

The police have reported that “a possible scene where multiple rounds had been fired" has been found. However, they have not as yet discovered any suspects for the crime, although the case is being treated as a murder attempt. There is currently no known potential motive for the shooting.

Reports of the incident did not reach the mainstream news until two days after the event. Crunchy Black is currently hospitalized, and recovering from his injuries. A photo of the rapper has  been released online, showing him sitting up in a hospital bed. From the photo, it seems that Black sustained some pretty serious injuries as a result of the attack.
