Emerging Atlanta rapper Shinin’ has been making waves in the industry lately with the release of his buzzing hit singles “Tony Soprano” and “Vegas.” The laid back rhyme slinger projects a veteran cool and unflappability that makes his street tales feel unnervingly realistic.
Today, Shinin’ is unveiling the second installment of his “Free Show” vlog series. Episode 2 finds the rising rap renegade and savvy entrepreneur continuing work on his debut album and documenting the process by director Rex West.
Shinin’ meets up with photographer Steve West at the famous Chil Studios in Atlanta, Georgia, to do a photo shoot for his new single, “Vegas.” Furthermore, the vlog follows the ATL rapper to Memorial Drive to Official Ink Tattoo, where Shinin’ meets up with a local tattoo artist on the rise to collaborate on more ink. Lastly, Shinin’s manager Scotty and Rex West meet up with him at Desta’s Ethiopian restaurant on Clairemont Road to have lunch with the team and share the culture.
Director Rex West and I wanted to show more of what goes on behind the scenes, apart from the music. I know a lot of people that want to smoke weed or get tattoos. Not saying we encourage these kinds of things, but we are just doing us. This is for y’all and my OG’s and mentors living vicariously through me.Shinin’
