21 Savage advised Drake to avoid getting involved in any feud with Kendrick Lamar.
In a recent episode of the podcast “Perspektives With Bank”, which aired on December 11, 21 Savage discussed the rumored tension between Drake and Kendrick Lamar while promoting his upcoming album, “What Happened To The Streets?”.
During the interview, the Atlanta rapper shared that he had urged Drake to steer clear of any lyrical battles.
He explained, “I told that ni**a not to even do all that sh*t anyway. I told that ni**a leave that sh*t alone. But he felt like he was being challenged lyrically, so he wanted to respond.”
21 Savage elaborated, saying he believed engaging in such a feud would be a lose-lose scenario for Drake.
“No matter what, bruh. Certain situations, even if you win, you still don’t win,” 21 said. “When you’re at the top, and you the No. 1 ni**a, where does winning put you? You can’t go No. 1.1. So, how the f**k could you win anyway? That’s what I told him.”
21, being close friends with Drake, found himself in a tricky position due to his relationship with both him and Metro Boomin. Drake and Metro have lingering tensions, and both are featured on 21’s new album. Drake collaborates on the track “Mr. Recoup,” while Metro appears on “Gang Over Everything.”
