50 Cent has unveiled the title and release date for his upcoming Netflix docuseries, “Sean Combs: The Reckoning”.

After over a year of teasing the project — initially dismissed by some as a playful jab stemming from his long-standing rivalry with Diddy — the G-Unit frontman confirmed on Tuesday (November 25) that the four-part series will debut on Netflix on December 2.

Sharing an official poster for the documentary on Instagram, he addressed skeptics with a candid caption: “They said I was capping, [shrug emoji] what happened?”

The documentary, executive produced by 50 Cent and directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Alexandria Stapleton (known for “How Music Got Free” and “Hello, Privilege. It’s Me, Chelsea”), is billed as “a staggering examination of the media mogul, music icon, and convicted offender.”

The series delves into Diddy’s rise as a hip-hop powerhouse, the swirl of allegations that have surfaced over the past two years, and the criminal trial that culminated in a four-year prison sentence.

Director Alexandria Stapleton, in a press release, emphasized the broader implications of the story: “This isn’t just about the story of Sean Combs or the story of Cassie, or the story of any of the victims, or the allegations against him, or the trial. Ultimately, this story is a mirror [reflecting us] as the public, and what we are saying when we put our celebrities on such a high pedestal.”

“I hope [this documentary] is a wake-up call for how we idolize people, and to understand that everybody is a human being.”

50 Cent also expressed his dedication to authentic storytelling through G-Unit Film and Television: “I’ve been committed to real storytelling for years through G-Unit Film and Television. I’m grateful to everyone who came forward and trusted us with their stories, and proud to have Alexandria Stapleton as the director on the project to bring this important story to the screen.”

The docuseries is set to deliver intense and never-before-seen content, including exclusive interviews with individuals who were once part of Sean Combs’ inner circle, heightening anticipation among viewers eager to uncover untold truths.
