50 Cent‘s persistent playful jabs at Diddy have culminated in an impressive achievement. His 2025 Netflix docuseries on Sean Combs, titled “The Reckoning,” has earned three Emmy nominations.
On July 8, the nominations for the 2026 Emmy Awards were revealed, and the series, executive produced by 50 Cent, is in the running for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series, Outstanding Directing for a Documentary/Nonfiction Program, and Outstanding Picture Editing for a Nonfiction Program.
Unsurprisingly, 50 Cent is ecstatic about this success.
“Everybody had something to say when I announced it… now the Emmys got something to say too,” he wrote with a laughing emoji on X. “3 Emmy nominations for Sean Combs: The Reckoning. You can’t argue with the work.”
Released in December, the four-episode series delves into the allegations against the currently incarcerated Bad Boy mogul. Through uncovered footage and interviews with his former friends, employees, and colleagues, it paints a comprehensive picture of the situation. This project quickly became Netflix’s most-watched program upon its debut.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month prison sentence after being found guilty by a jury last July on two counts of transportation for the purpose of engaging in prostitution. Initially scheduled for release on June 4, 2028, his sentence was slightly reduced in March by 40 days, moving his new release date to April 25, 2028.
The 2026 Emmy Awards are slated for September 14 at 8 p.m., and will be broadcast live on NBC and Peacock.
