50 Cent has poked fun at Ice Cube’s poorly reviewed remake of “War Of The Worlds”, which has been met with harsh criticism.

Cube plays the lead in this remake of the classic Sci-Fi tale, now available on Amazon Prime Video. Despite its ambition, the film has been lambasted by critics and audiences alike, currently holding a shocking 0% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, indicating that no professional critic has offered a favorable review.

Although 50 Cent hasn’t actually seen the movie himself, he didn’t hold back from joining the criticism. Sharing his thoughts on Instagram, he wrote: “0 % how you get a 0 percent rating. Nah somebody mad at cube. Now I’m scared to watch it LOL.”

Based on H.G. Wells’ iconic 1898 novel, the story shifts to a modern-day twist where Ice Cube portrays a Homeland Security cyber-security analyst. His character spends his time monitoring threats to national security via mass surveillance technology, but an unexpected attack by an unknown force causes him to question whether the government is withholding vital information from the public.

What sets this version apart is its unique visual approach — the majority of the film unfolds through computer and phone screens. The trailer showcases most of the action happening from a single desk where Cube’s character is stationed.

Adding star power to the cast are Eva Longoria of “Desperate Housewives” fame and Clark Gregg, known for his role in “The Avengers”.

Producer Patrick Aiello explained the creative vision behind the project, stating: “The idea was organic. When catastrophes happen today, we experience them through our devices. That insight shaped the storytelling and tech used to create this immersive thriller.”

He further elaborated, “For the first time ever, a studio-scale Sci-Fi epic has been produced using a format that places audiences inside the action through the lenses of phones, computers, and tablets. It’s a visceral, first-person experience designed for big screens in a language and format that is now natural within our daily lives.”
