50 Cent wasted no time poking fun at Diddy after the Bad Boy mogul was sentenced to 50 months in prison on prostitution charges this past Friday (October 3).
The G-Unit rapper took to Instagram, sharing a courtroom image of Diddy during his sentencing, where Combs appeared emotional and used a tissue to wipe his eyes.
Addressing the situation with his usual sarcasm, 50 wrote: “Hey to whoever was booking Diddy for speaking engagements. I heard he won’t be able to make it, I’m available!”
Reportedly, Diddy had scheduled speaking engagements in Miami for the following week, contingent on a possible release. Prosecutors criticized these plans as an audacious move, dubbing them “the height of hubris,” while Diddy’s legal team argued the events were intended for “healing” rather than promotional purposes.
Throughout the court proceedings, 50 Cent has consistently mocked Diddy on social media. Earlier in the week, he even shared a mock “letter to the judge,” warning about Combs’ alleged dangers with his signature shade.
“I have had an ongoing dispute with Puffy for 20 years,” he began. “He is very dangerous. Multiple times I have feared for my life… Anyway, Diddy’s only going to return to hiring more male sex workers and keeping most of the baby oil away from the general public. And babies need it!”
Diddy faced sentencing around 4:45 p.m. ET, ultimately receiving a 50-month prison sentence for violating federal prostitution laws. While prosecutors advocated for an 11-year sentence, Diddy’s attorneys pushed for leniency with 14 months of time served.
In an emotional address to the court before the sentencing, Diddy pleaded: “I ask your honor for mercy. I beg your honor for mercy.”
Although his prison term will last just over three years, Diddy still faces considerable legal challenges, including numerous civil lawsuits related to allegations of sexual misconduct.
