Celebrity boxing matches are becoming more and more popular so there is a chance that we could see some rappers test their skills in the ring. Most recently, 50 Cent said he would be down to fight Floyd Mayweather Jr.

On Friday (Jan. 29), the G-Unit head honcho conducted an interview with Atlanta radio station V-103, in which he talked about the possibility of fighting Floyd.

I don’t think I can make weight, though. I’d fight Floyd if I can get down, closer to the [weight]. Or he could just let me not have to get down to 150. I tried [losing a lot of weight] before, I looked like a homeless person. I can make it like down to like 180.

50 Cent

50 Cent is 6-feet tall and around 210 pounds, a clear mismatch in weight classes. Fif and Floyd started off as good friends and business partners until 2012. Their beef began shortly after Mayweather was released from prison. 50 claimed that Mayweather owed him money after the rapper began working with The Money Team.

In related news, Mayweather will soon be stepping into the ring to fight social media star Logan Paul. According to TMZ, the fight has been postponed, one of the reasons for the delay being COVID-19. The fight, which had previously been set for Feb. 20, has now been rescheduled for a later date.
