JayDaYoungan’s father, Kenyatta Scott, is speaking out about the deadly shooting that took his son’s life last week.

According to a TMZ report, JayDaYoungan’s dad said that his son was fatally ambushed by five gunmen while they were sitting in the front yard of his modest Bogalusa home on Wednesday night (July 27) when a black truck pulled up. Three people jumped out firing their weapons as he and his son attempted to run inside.

Furthermore, the grieving father explained that two more people emerged from the side of the house and started shooting. Scott fired back in an effort to defend himself and JayDaYoungan, but it was too late. Sadly, JayDaYoungan was hit at least eight times, while his father was shot twice in the arm.

JayDaYoungan was rushed to Our Lady Of The Angels Hospital in critical condition where he succumbed to his injuries and died. Meanwhile, Scott remains hospitalized and is in stable condition.

Scott believes his son was killed out of jealousy. To his knowledge, JayDaYoungan didn’t have beef with anyone nor was he involved in any gang activity. The patriarch thinks the shooting was envious of 24-year-old rapper’s success in the Rap game.
