Lil Durk suffered injuries while mid-set at the annual Lollapalooza festival in Chicago on Saturday (July 30).
In a video of the accident, the platinum-selling rapper unassumingly walks across the stage and gets hit directly by two pillars of white smoke that shoot him in the face. Durk stumbles back using his t-shirt to quell the sting. He was asked if he’s OK and just seconds later, the Chicago entertainer is back on the mic and ready to rock for the anxious crowd.
Nevertheless, Lil Durk required a trip to the hospital. As a result, he has announced that he is going off the grid for awhile. On Sunday (July 31), Durk updated his 14 million Instagram followers with a picture of himself sitting on a hospital bed and his eye patched up.
“Due to the incident that happened at Lollapalooza in Chicago on stage, I’ma take a break & focus on my health,” he wrote in the caption. “I finished my performance yesterday for my fans. Appreciate y’all.”
