Jim Jones got into a rumble at an airport over the weekend.

Footage of Dipset Capo Jim Jones involved in a bloody brawl in a South Florida airport has been making its rounds on the internet but Jones says that his part in the altercation was strictly self defense.

TMZ obtained video footage that showed the Harlem native riding an escalator with two other people at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. At some point, the rapper got into a scuffle with a random person riding the escalator and tossed them down the steps where a fight ensued.

Sheriff’s deputies and security personnel rushed down the escalator and broke up the fight. You can see visibly that one man is bleeding from the head.

It’s unclear what started the fight but the Harlem wordsmith reportedly tells TMZ that he was simply defending himself. “I was minding my business and defended myself. They got what they were looking for,” he said.
