Is Kanye West calling it quits?
According to Rich The Kid, the Hip-Hop and fashion mogul declared that he’s retiring from music.
The 47-year-old revealed to Rich The Kid that he is retiring from “professional music” via text messages where the Chicago producer wrote: “I am retiring from professional music Not sure what else to do.”
The conversation took place within a group chat as his name appeared above the message, which otherwise would not have happened if it was just a one-on-one conversation.
Rich The Kid replied with outrage, “Retire? Why? How? The ppl NEED you the music you & Ty & we have made was the BIGGEST STAMP in culture to this date in 2024. Drop Ye about mine & V@ and we do it all over again the kids need you big bra fasho maybe some time to chill but retiring ain’t it.”
In his last message, he urged the 24-time Grammy winner to release more music he has in the tuck. “Drop Ye about mine & V2 and we do it all over again the kids need you big bra fasho maybe some time to chill but retiring ain’t it,” he wrote.
Rich was notably featured on West and Ty’s lead single “Carnival,” which topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart when it debuted in March.
After news of Ye’s retirement gained traction online, Rich went on to delete the screenshot from his Instagram Story.
