Nicki Minaj revealed on social media that she will be following up her fifth studio album “Pink Friday 2” with a deluxe LP.

Originally released in December 2023, the project marked Minaj’s first full-length drop in five years.

The superstar took to X on Tuesday (August 20) to announce the deluxe version, though she noted that she’s going to keep fans “posted” on the release date.

“I love it so much. I’ll be performing 2-3 songs from this version of the album on the PF2 #GagCityReloaded TOUR,” she wrote, before adding, “Barbz… Thanku for inspiring me. Love you.”

The “Pink Friday 2” album, a highly anticipated sequel to her 2010 debut “Pink Friday,” a breakthrough for the then-rising rapper with features from Eminem, Rihanna, Drake, will.i.am, Ye and Natasha Bedingfield, has proven to be worth the wait. Her freshman release topped the Billboard 200 albums chart dated December 23, 2023.

The recent sequel LP, meanwhile, relied heavily on samples. “Barbie Dangerous” interpolates Notorious B.I.G.’s “Notorious Thugs,” while “Pink Friday Girls” samples Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Super Freaky Girl” samples Rick James’ “Super Freak.”

Minaj subsequently embarked on her “Pink Friday 2 World Tour,” and the run has already made history with Minaj holding the title of the highest grossing rap tour ever by a woman.
