Travis Scott is offering a music video for his single, “Drugs You Should Try It”, shortly after revisiting his mixtape “Days Before Rodeo” on its 10th anniversary.
The Houston-born rapper has taken the fan-favorite “Drugs You Should Try It” to a whole new level, expanding the cut’s otherworldly soundscape to the visual realm.
The clip kicks off with an homage to Virgil Abloh, who designed the neon-lit smoking cowboy sign that makes an appearance. Scott starts free-falling into a pool of despair and allows his mind to drift into the depths of his conscious.
Scott re-released his second mixtape on August 23. The digital deluxe edition is available with five previously unreleased tracks from the DBR era for $4.99, which has the mixtape expected to earn premium real estate on next week’s Billboard 200.
The project opened with “Days Before Rodeo: The Prayer” before segueing into “Mamacita” featuring Rich Homie Quan and Young Thug. Other highlights include the much-loved “Drugs You Should Try It” and “Don’t Play.”
