Snoop Dogg has officially announced that his 20th studio album entitled “Missionary” will arrive on December 13.
The Westcoast rapper revealed the release date with the unveiling of a hilarious trailer for the “Doggystyle” follow-up LP, which is fully produced by Dr. Dre.
The clip shows two Mormon missionaries approaching a house and being deterred by a woman who opens the door before dropping “The Book Of Mormon” and running away.
Dre and Snoop’s next album was first announced in 2022 and was described by the latter as their “30th anniversary to Doggystyle,” Snoop’s debut studio album. Both have remained tight-lipped regarding details of the LP, but some special guests expected to appear on the album include Sting and Jelly Roll.
“This one’s gonna show a different level of maturity with his lyrics and with my music,” Dre previously said. “I feel like this is some of the best music I’ve done in my career […] I’m not playing.”
The hit producer added, “The musicians I’m working with right now and some of the writers in the studio that are helping us… Snoop is really excited about this and so am I. I think people are gonna really enjoy this.”
