It looks like Busta Rhymes is in trouble.
The veteran New York rapper has reportedly turned himself in to police after an incident in New York, where he allegedly lashed out at his 50-year-old assistant, Dashiel Gables, for allegedly being on his phone at work.
Law enforcement sources told TMZ that the alleged attack took place on January 10 at the J Condominium in Brooklyn.
Police said the argument escalated with Busta allegedly punching his assistant several times on the left side of his face, leaving him with swelling in his left eye.
Rhymes fled the scene and Gables immediately called the police. Authorities and paramedics quickly responded and Gables was taken to a nearby hospital to receive treatment.
The rapper is facing multiple charges following the assault incident: misdemeanor assault in the 3rd degree, attempted assault, and harassment. He is reportedly issued a desk appearance ticket, meaning he will have to address the charges in court.
As of now, Busta Rhymes has not responded to the allegations or commented on the incident.
