The Weeknd has the #1 album in the United States.
Following last week’s projections, the Canadian superstar has successfully secured his fifth #1 album debut on the Billboard 200 albums chart with “Hurry Up Tomorrow.”
The 22-track record earned 490,500 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending February 6, according to Luminate. This is the biggest debut week of the Weeknd’s five releases, surpassing “After Hours” by 6,000 units.
The album features multiple special guests, including Giorgio Moroder, Anitta, Justice, Travis Scott, Florence + the Machine, Future, Lana Del Rey and Playboi Carti.
The chart-topping opening comes on the heels of the trailer debut for the “Hurry Up Tomorrow” companion film, which sees The Weeknd star alongside Jenna Ortega and Barry Keoghan.
