A former Yeezy staffer, a Jewish woman, sued Kanye West in California superior court on Tuesday (February 11), alleging sex and religious discrimination and harassment.
She is accusing West of comparing himself to Adolf Hitler, sending her pornographic material and referring to her as “bitch” and other insults in text messages.
The woman is allegedly a former marketing specialist at Yeezy who said she was fired for standing up to his antisemitic rhetoric in the workplace.
According to court documents, the woman said Ye reached out to her and another Jewish employee in a group chat and wrote, “Welcome to the first day of working for Hitler.”
She also claimed Ye texted her, “I Am A NAZI,” after she suggested he put out a statement denying any ties to Nazism after causing controversy with the antisemitic lyrics and cover art of Vultures Vol. 1.
In an official statement, the woman’s legal team stated Ye’s antisemitic behavior will no longer be excused.
“Ye waged a relentless and deliberate campaign of antisemitism and misogyny against my client,” said the plaintiff’s lawyer, Carney Shegerian, in a statement.
“His appalling treatment of women and fixation on Nazism, evident in abusive texts where he repeatedly calls himself Hitler, expose his motives. We need to stop excusing Ye’s behavior. As a father, husband, and employer, he must be held accountable. Ye dared my client to sue, and we will see him in court.”
The reported behavior occurred from January through June of 2024, per the lawsuit.
