Rapper Dave Blunts has intensified his ongoing conflict with Hip-Hop legend 50 Cent by releasing a scathing diss track, “Hey Curtis.”
Accompanied by a bold music video parodying 50’s iconic “In Da Club,” Blunts made it clear he isn’t holding back in this unexpected rivalry.
This musical confrontation follows a heated social media exchange earlier in the summer, sparked in July when 50 Cent posted a jab at Blunts’ physique. Sharing a photo of the rapper, Fif mocked his appearance and wrote: “Ye this ya manz. If I catch him I’m pushing him down the stairs,” alluding to Kanye West and his recent collaborations with Blunts.
Unwilling to let the insult slide, Blunts retaliated by posting a still from 50’s 2011 film “All Things Fall Apart”, where the artist portrayed a cancer patient. Blunt’s caption hit hard: “I been going to the gym and been locked in on my health journey the world is watching me lose weight but you lost all that weight for that weak a** movie and nobody watched that sh*t.”
Now, with “Hey Curtis,” Blunts has taken the feud to another level, dropping pointed bars that leave little room for subtlety. Among the standout lines, he raps, “I heard 50 Cent was a gangster, but I didn’t know that he liked men/ But honestly, that doesn’t surprise me ’cause he chose randomly to ride my d**k.”
The track weaves sharp insults, revisiting themes of body shaming and film criticism, while also mocking Fif’s ongoing comments targeting Sean “Diddy” Combs amid Combs’ federal sex trafficking trial.
Through “Hey Curtis,” Dave Blunts is not only defending his reputation but positioning himself in one of this year’s most unexpected Hip-Hop feuds. Whether this clash simmers down or escalates further, the spotlight now shifts to 50 Cent for his next move.
