NBA YoungBoy has made a notable commitment by donating $50,000 to support efforts aimed at curbing violent crime in the Dallas area.
The contribution has been divided between two organizations, Manifest Freedom and Urban Specialists, both dedicated to promoting anti-gang initiatives.
In an interview with Fox 4 News, the rapper expressed his concern over the impact of violence, stating: “You know, a lot of people be getting hurt, so it ain’t really cool at this point to me, so I just want to help in any way I [can].”
Despite past legal challenges, including a high-profile pardon earlier this year from former President Donald Trump for gun charges, NBA YoungBoy is looking to redirect his focus. Reflecting on the pardon, he shared his gratitude, noting it as an opportunity to grow as an individual, father, and artist. He described it as a pivotal moment that allows him to pursue the future he’s worked hard for.
Neither Trump nor the White House have publicly addressed the rationale behind the decision to grant the pardon. However, the Republican president has demonstrated consistent support for several figures in the Rap community, aligning with past gestures.
