Following prolonged speculation about whether he would revisit the “Broken Hearts” series, Destroy Lonely has introduced the eagerly awaited third chapter in the mixtape saga.

Titled “</3³”, this latest opus from the Opium rapper marks his sixth mixtape, cementing his position as a major force in today’s Rap landscape while offering a heartfelt nod to his roots and the journey that led him here.

Comprised of 18 tracks, “Broken Hearts 3” sees Lonely reconnect with his foundational sound, collaborating with key producers who were instrumental in shaping his early musical identity. Contributions from Clayco, Cxdy, Cade, and Bugz Ronin scatter across the project, recapturing the essence of the rapper’s initial sonic blueprint.

Primarily a solo effort, the mixtape features only one guest appearance – labelmate Ken Carson on the penultimate track, “open it up.” The project delivers a seamless listening experience, with songs like “not the mayor” and “jumangi” effortlessly flowing into one another.

Arriving more than five years after “Broken Hearts 2” – the deluxe version of September 2020’s “Broken Hearts” – “</3³” makes its debut just ahead of Lonely’s participation in Playboi Carti’s “Antagonist Tour”, set to launch this October.
