Jay Electronica has dropped a surprise new project titled “A Written Testimony: Leaflets”, which is now available for listening.

Consisting of just seven tracks, this release acts as an extension of his 2020 debut album, “A Written Testimony”. That album came after years of anticipation for a full-length offering from the Roc Nation rapper.

“Leaflets” includes features from Quentin Miller and DRAM, alongside an introduction from Diddy. This marks Diddy’s second musical appearance since becoming embroiled in legal issues earlier this year, following Kanye West’s “Lonely Roads Still Go To Sunshine”.

The cameo highlights Puff’s enduring support for Jay Electronica — as evidenced by his attempt in the late 2000s to recruit him to Bad Boy Records following the critical acclaim of “Exhibit C.”

However, “Leaflets” doesn’t follow the mold of a typical Jay Electronica release. A significant portion of its 29-minute runtime is dedicated to sampled audio segments reflecting Jay Electronica’s philosophical and spiritual interests, including commentary on topics like UFOs and skepticism surrounding climate change.
