Turk addresses the recent comments made by Birdman during the Cash Money vs. No Limit Verzuz, aiming to set the record straight.
Birdman stirred up renewed tensions within the Cash Money camp during the label’s Verzuz face-off. Wrapping up the event, the rap mogul highlighted Cash Money’s storied legacy before unexpectedly taking a swipe at former Hot Boy Turk.
“Shout out to Turk, you little b**ch,” Birdman said. “You ain’t here but f**k you. We gon’ f**k with you when we want to f**k with you… Cash Money ain’t never gonna die as long as I’m alive.”
The former Hot Boys member appeared on Yung Joc’s “The Streetz Morning Takeover” to clarify the situation, starting with his absence from the event.
“I wasn’t invited,” Turk said. “I don’t go where I ain’t invited and I don’t stay where I’m not welcomed.”
When the host pressed him about why Birdman specifically called him out for not attending, Turk responded confidently: “Because I’m him.”
He elaborated further, emphasizing there’s no hostility between them. While acknowledging that Birdman has what he described as a “strange love” for him.
He explained, “People don’t understand our language, our slanguage. A lot of people probably took that as a diss, but I didn’t take it as no diss because that’s how we talk.”
Regarding Birdman’s remark, “We gon’ fuck with you when we want to fuck with you,” Turk offered some insight.
“He spoke for ‘we’ as the cast members,” Turk said. “You can’t mess with me when you want to. You could mess with the fans when you want to ’cause I’m out getting my bag.”
Turk also mentioned that Lil Wayne might not have been invited either, despite Birdman referencing Wayne in his tirade and the Cash Money camp playing “A Milli” during the event.
When asked about the potential disconnect between Lil Wayne and the team, Turk remained neutral.
“I don’t know. I mind my business and the business that pay me.”
