Juvenile claims credit for 50 Cent landing his iconic Shady Records deal and insists 50 himself can back up the statement.

During an interview with Nyla Symone, Juvenile recounted how 50 Cent became sidelined in the music industry following his near-fatal shooting, with no one willing to collaborate with him at that time.

Juvenile stated, “I got 50 Cent his record deal with Eminem. Ask 50, he’ll tell you, yeah, Juve was the one. 50 couldn’t really go to the studio at the time, and I was one of the first cats with a studio bus, so I let him record on my bus, him, [Tony] Yayo, and [Lloyd] Banks.”

He went on to explain that while in New York City on the set of a D12 music video, Eminem invited him over. Juvenile brought along Sha Money XL, the former G-Unit president, to the meeting.

“When I went over there with Sha Money, my first thing was telling him the type of music Em doing and the type of music 50 doing with the diss thing…that’s going to work if he go with him. And it worked,” Juvenile shared.

He also mentioned that 50 acknowledged his involvement in one of his books but didn’t specify which one.
