Offset dropped his surprise project, “Haunted By Fame,” on October 31, where he seemingly addresses Cardi B and Stefon Diggs’ rumored relationship, as well as his estranged wife’s alleged pregnancy.
In the track “No Sweat,” produced by Coupe, Offset appears to take subtle digs at Cardi B and the New England Patriots star wide receiver.
Within the opening verse, he indirectly comments on what he sees as a downgrade, likening it to trading NBA legend Michael Jordan for Dennis Rodman — a player known for his eccentric persona rather than his position among basketball’s greats. He raps about the situation, expressing disbelief, while implying that Cardi’s decisions are misguided.
Adding more fuel to the fire, Offset goes further in the song, addressing speculation of Cardi being pregnant while their divorce remains unresolved. His lyrics suggest frustration as he calls out the perceived chaos surrounding her actions.
The 11-track album drops just two months following his reflective third solo release, “Kiari”, showcasing the Atlanta rapper’s impressive streak of creativity.
While “Kiari” explored a more introspective side, “Haunted By Fame” shifts gears, blending tension-filled production with distorted melodies and minimal 808s, moving away from raw confessions to a sound infused with paranoia.
