Ray J has reportedly been hospitalized in Las Vegas due to pneumonia and heart pain, according to TMZ.

The singer was admitted on Tuesday (January 6), where medical evaluations included X-rays and an echocardiogram. However, further details regarding his condition were not available at the time of the report.

This health scare follows a similar incident four years ago when the 44-year-old experienced a severe case of pneumonia in 2021. The illness raised significant concerns as it nearly turned fatal.

At that time, doctors in Miami placed Ray J on oxygen and prescribed the use of an inhaler. Despite the seriousness of the situation, he eventually made a complete recovery. His condition was confirmed to be unrelated to COVID-19, despite the pandemic being in full swing then.

In recent months, Ray J has been involved in various legal troubles. He was arrested last November following an altercation during a contentious Thanksgiving Twitch livestream. The R&B artist accused his ex, Princess Love, of being intoxicated and attempting to take their two children away from his residence. Allegedly, the situation escalated when Ray J brandished a gun and threatened her.

“I’ll kill you… Get the fuck out of here, you in my house,” he yelled as he appeared to hide from the camera’s livestream. “I’ll shoot the fuck out of you.”

During the livestream incident, he was reportedly heard shouting expletives and threatening to kill her while seemingly trying to stay hidden from view. The confrontation further intensified scrutiny on the artist’s personal life.

In December, Ray J announced plans for a new endeavor, revealing his idea for a show titled Celebrity Hitchhiker. As part of this concept, he intended to travel from Tampa, Florida, to Los Angeles by hitchhiking, with plans to return to California in time for Christmas.
