OJ Da Juiceman, whose real name is Otis Whitfield Williams Jr., was taken into custody on March 15 in DeKalb County, Georgia, following a traffic-related incident where he allegedly pointed a firearm at a state trooper.

The Atlanta rapper was charged with 10 offenses, including eight misdemeanors such as Aggressive Driving, Reckless Driving, and Pointing or Aiming a Gun or Pistol at Another Person.

He also faces two serious felony charges: Possession of a Firearm During the Commission of a Felony and Aggravated Assault Upon a Public Safety Officer. Both felony charges could result in prison sentences ranging from 5 to 10 years if convicted.

The incident reportedly occurred on January 28. According to the trooper, OJ Da Juiceman allegedly pointed a gun multiple times while driving past him on the interstate.

TMZ later reported additional details in an affidavit claiming that while driving on I-20 East in Atlanta, the rapper tailgated and honked at the trooper after merging into an HOV lane. He then allegedly overtook the trooper, displayed a black firearm, and sped recklessly through traffic.

Authorities eventually identified OJ through his car, a rented Nissan Altima, and issued an arrest warrant. OJ Da Juiceman is contesting these allegations through his legal team, which has filed a request for bond.

Furthermore, there is a sworn affidavit from a woman who stated that OJ was not behind the wheel during the incident. She claims that OJ had rented the vehicle for her and that she allowed another man to drive it at the time.

The case remains ongoing.
