Lil Tjay has been released on bond following his arrest for disorderly conduct in connection with the non-fatal shooting involving Offset outside the Hard Rock Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

Upon exiting Broward County Jail on Tuesday (April 7), the Bronx rapper addressed reporters and directed some sharp criticism toward the Migos member.

Speaking to NBC after his release, the “Calling My Phone” artist referred to Offset as a “rat” and issued a pointed warning toward the Atlanta musician.

Tjay also recounted details from the events surrounding the shooting, which took place on Monday (April 6).

“The last thing I seen was Offset looking at me like this, ‘Yo, that n—a shot me. That n—a shot me.’ La la la. N—a is a rat. n—a is a rat. I don’t do no damn fighting,” he said, before being asked if he was the one to shoot Offset. “I didn’t do no damn fighting. Did I shoot Offset? That s–t is crazy.”

Tjay continued to taunt Set, “I’ll slap the s–t out of Offset. He would never play with me like that in his life.”

Reporters inundated Lil Tjay with questions about the rumors surrounding Offset allegedly owing him money. “Ask Offset,” he deferred.

Lil Tjay, whose real name is Tione Merritt, was taken into custody late Monday and charged with disorderly conduct. He was booked at Broward County Jail, with his bond set at $500.

A spokesperson for the Seminole Police Department relayed to Billboard that one person had been charged “in connection with the incident that took place Monday night at a valet area outside of Seminole Hard Rock.”

The police eventually confirmed that the individual charged was Tjay, clarifying that the situation stemmed from an altercation or fight. Tjay was subsequently taken into custody and booked at the Broward County Jail late last night.

Meanwhile, Tjay’s attorney, Dawn Florio, dismissed the claims linking him to the Offset shooting, calling them unfounded rumors.

“Lil Tjay has not been shot, nor has Lil Tjay been charged with any shooting,” she said. “Any reporting to the contrary is false. We encourage people to consult trusted news sources, and to verify the accuracy of any reporting, before reflexively sharing or repeating baseless rumors.”

The Seminole Police Department reported that two individuals were taken into custody, and the investigation is still underway. Officials have not identified Tjay as the person responsible for the shooting involving Offset.

Offset, whose real name is Kiari Cephus, was shot on Monday evening in the valet area of the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Hollywood, Florida. He was hospitalized and treated for injuries that were not life-threatening.

“We can confirm Offset was shot and is currently at the hospital receiving medical care,” a rep said. “He is stable and being closely monitored.”

Offset was spotted by TMZ outside Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood, wearing a hospital gown and smoking.
