Pooh Shiesty‘s third attempt at securing bond as he awaits trial in the Gucci Mane robbery and kidnapping case has been denied by a judge once more.

In a Dallas federal court detention hearing on Tuesday, July 21, Judge David C. Godbey decided that the Memphis rapper will remain in custody until his trial, which is slated for 2027.

The rapper, whose real name is Lontrell Williams, first had his bond request denied after his arrest in April. A second denial followed in June when the judge found that no conditions of release would sufficiently assure public safety or Pooh’s attendance in court. The latest ruling has upheld that decision.

Pooh’s attorney, Kent Schaffer, expressed his disappointment in a statement to XXL: “Despite additional evidence, the judge ruled against us. This setback won’t deter us from our efforts to ultimately free Lontrell.”

Pooh Shiesty, along with his father Big30 and six others, faces accusations of having lured Gucci Mane to a Dallas recording studio in January. Allegedly, they forced the founder of 1017 Records to release Pooh from his contract under duress. The group purportedly also robbed Gucci and his entourage.

All defendants have entered not guilty pleas. The trial is scheduled for February 22, 2027, unless there are any changes to this timeline.
