Cardi B delved into the meaning behind her “can’t trap me” lyric from an upcoming viral song teaser.

On July 27, she posted a video on social media featuring herself rapping to an unreleased track while enjoying the beach.

“B**ches be swearing they so f**kng bad, I don’t see it/A ni**a can’t trap me, I won’t keep him,” she raps.

Later on Instagram Live, Bardi shared some insights about the bar.

“First thing’s first, I know exactly what I said on that line,” she said. “Sometimes a nig**a think that because you have a baby with them…That’s it’s like, you won’t move the f**k on…Nah, b**ch, I’ll take my baby and get the f**k on.”

“A baby won’t trap me, b**ch,” she continued. “We can have 10 f**kin’ kids. I’ll leave.”

Cardi B ended her relationship with NFL player Stefon Diggs earlier this year, who is the father of her latest child. Recently, she has been stirring up rumors by being seen multiple times with Nigerian soccer star Maduka Okoye, suggesting a possible new romance.

Following the release of her much-anticipated second album “Am I The Drama?” last September, she embarked on the hugely successful Little Miss Drama Tour. Her efforts culminated in big victories at both the 2026 BET Awards and the 2026 American Music Awards.

Currently, it seems she’s diving back into her musical pursuits.
