A$AP Rocky has expressed that he would be willing to face off against Drake in a boxing match without gloves, embracing a style reminiscent of traditional Irish fighting.

This revelation came on Monday (August 3), when The Jason Lee Show released a preview of an upcoming interview featuring the Harlem rapper. In this teaser, Rocky was questioned about the concept of celebrity boxing and whether he’d be open to exchanging blows with Drake.

“Bare knuckle, the like Irish,” Rocky responded.

A$AP Rocky and Drake have had a tense relationship in recent years, influenced by several public issues. These include Drake’s past relationship with Rihanna, who is now the mother of Rocky’s child, as well as accusations of style imitation and subtle insults.

In January, Rocky targeted Drake in his track “Stole Ya Flow” from the “Don’t Be Dumb” project.

“Been shittin’ on everything, wasn’t even potty-trained/Ni**as gettin’ BBLs, lucky we don’t body shame/Throwin’ dirt on Rocky name, turn around and copy game,” Rocky spit.

In May, Drake took aim with his latest track “Burning Bridges” on the Iceman album.

“I put you ni**as through the wringer, yeah/You gettin’ bodied by a singin’ ni**a, yeah,” Drake rhymes. “I’m with Noel like I’m Kris Kringle, yeah/Your baby mama ain’t even post your single, damn.”

In the upcoming A$AP Rocky interview, he discusses the potential for marriage, the dissolution of A$AP Mob, and whether he’s delaying Rihanna’s anticipated new album, among other topics. The complete interview with Rocky is set to air on August 5.
