Gunna is gearing up for a new chapter in his music career.

The Atlanta artist shared during an interview with Forbes’ “The Enterprise Zone” on September 17, that his upcoming album will be called “Splurge”.

“I want to tap into my new next level that I’ve been tapping in with,” he explained. “I want to introduce that, which is Splurge. This upper-echelon artist who’s gravitated to another level.”

Gunna has not specified a release date for his upcoming project, but it may be arriving shortly.

“I can’t say when because I’m in it right now,” he said. “If I feel ready, it could come out next month. But if I’m not ready, I’m not ready yet. I don’t have a date.”

Gunna Figures Out His New Label Move

Back in 2025, when Gunna dropped his album “The Last Wun”, there were rumors circulating that it might be his last work under Young Thug’s YSL Records. The rapper, known for hits like “Sold Out Dates,” mentioned that he isn’t a free agent; however, he didn’t clarify whether he remains with YSL or has joined another label.

“I wouldn’t say apparently free. We in the works,” Gunna said. “There’s been a lot of talks of what’s being produced and who’s going to be behind me supporting it.”

Even though Gunna hasn’t put out a solo single in 2026, he’s collaborated with Shaboozey on “High Noon” and with Rich The Kid on “Too Bad” this summer.

At 33, Gunna has consistently released projects annually since 2022. His album The Last Wun, which came out in 2025, debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200, earning 80,000 total album-equivalent units and marking his seventh top 10 project.
