Dr. Dre was rushed by ambulance to Cedars Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles on Monday (Jan. 4) after suffering a brain aneurysm.
Newsportal TMZ reports that sources connected to the music mogul and with direct knowledge to the situation say the 55-year-old Hip-Hop icon “is stable and lucid,” but doctors still need to run tests to determine what led to the brain bleed.
Now, we have learned that the hitmaker is seemingly out of the woods after his team issued the following statement from him on Tuesday night:
Thanks to my family, friends and fans for their interest and well wishes. I’m doing great and getting excellent care from my medical team. I will be out of the hospital and back home soon. Shout out to all the great medical professionals at Cedars. One love!

As Yo! Raps reported, Dr. Dre and his wife Nicole Young are splitting up after 24 years of marriage. Both have been embroiled in a bitter divorce since she filed last June. As the months drag on, the proceedings seem to grow increasingly more complicated. Both were married in May of 1996 and their kids (23-year-old son Truice and 19-year-old daughter Truly) are grown up. Dre has four children from previous relationships.
