A$AP Rocky has fans questioning everything after his psychedelic “Shroom Clouds” music video appeared to tease a release date for “Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2”.
The Harlem rapper’s latest visual blends surreal fantasy, street culture, and cryptic details, turning a seemingly laid-back music video into a potential announcement that has hip-hop fans watching closely.
Released on October 19, the video takes Rocky from a dreamy, nature-filled paradise back to the gritty streets of New York City. Featuring warped visuals and hazy imagery, the clip perfectly complements the track’s psychedelic sound, with contributions from Reggie and Jeremih adding to its hypnotic atmosphere.
Did A$AP Rocky Just Reveal the Release Date?
The biggest talking point arrives in the video’s New York sequence. Eagle-eyed fans spotted a police car displaying the date “30 OCT 2026,” sparking speculation that Don’t Be Dumb – Disc 2 could arrive on October 30.
However, there is a crucial distinction between a clever Easter egg and an official announcement. Rocky’s representatives have not confirmed the date, leaving fans to wonder whether the detail is a deliberate clue or simply part of the video’s chaotic visual storytelling.
The speculation has only intensified anticipation for the deluxe project. After years of waiting for the full version of “Shroom Clouds,” listeners are now searching every frame for clues about what comes next.
“Shroom Clouds” Opens a New Chapter
The track itself has a history. Previously performed under the title “Mushroom Clouds,” the song surfaced live in 2021 and returned during Rocky’s 2022 performances before finally receiving an official release on October 16.
Rocky has described “Disc 2” as a collection of songs connected to his different alter egos that never found a home on earlier albums. Rather than simply recycling leftovers, the project could offer fans a deeper look at the creative identities that shaped his career.
That makes the video’s possible release-date clue more than a passing curiosity. If October 30 is intentional, Rocky may have hidden a major announcement in plain sight. Until confirmation arrives, though, the date remains speculation—and the mystery is part of the appeal.
