A$AP Rocky has unveiled some exciting news about his upcoming studio album, “Don’t Be Dumb”, bringing a distinct Burtonesque flair to the project.
In a much-anticipated collaboration that fans have speculated about for over a year, the U.S. hip-hop artist confirms that visionary filmmaker Tim Burton is contributing to his new endeavor.
Using an all-caps social media post, A$AP Rocky announced the end of his nearly eight-year musical hiatus with “Don’t Be Dumb”, marking his fourth studio album. Burton, renowned for films like “Edward Scissorhands”, “Batman”, and “Mars Attacks”, designed the album’s artwork, which was revealed in the post.
Additionally, Rocky hinted at a “movie,” believed to refer to visual content accompanying the album’s release.
He stated, “SORRY 4 THE WAIT DON’T BE DUMB FINALLY HERE! THANKS TIM BURTON FOR HELPING ME MAKE THIS MOVIE! COMING SOON.”
Rocky has dropped clues about the album on several occasions, including a performance at Camp Flog Gnaw last month. During the event, he wore a hoodie featuring a string of numbers on the right sleeve: “01162026.”
While many interpreted this as a potential release date of January 16, 2026, it could also be a nod to National Nothing Day, which falls on the same date. However, Rocky has clarified separately that the album is still expected to release before the year ends.
