Alicia Keys and Jay-Z’s hit single “Empire State Of Mind” has been certified Diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
“Empire State Of Mind” earned its Diamond certification with over 10 million units sold since its official release in 2009. It marks Jay-Z‘s second Diamond certification after “N***as In Paris” from his and Ye’s 2011 joint album, “Watch The Throne.”
Keys celebrated by tweeting, “Empire is diamond!!!!!!!!,” as Roc Nation made the formal announcement.
Just last month, “Empire State Of Mind” acquired over one billion streams and the duo reunited to perform it at the 2024 Tony Awards.
“1 Dream. 1 Song. 1 Billion streams. Thank you! We love you. What’s next….,” Keys wrote.

“Empire State Of Mind” was released in October 2009 as the third single from Jay-Z’s critically acclaimed “The Blueprint 3” album.
It spent five weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 2009 and has since become one of the biggest records within their respective discographies.
