It’s been nearly two years since dropping his first post-prison project after serving over six years for gang conspiracy charges.

However, Bobby Shmurda isn’t shying away from letting his fans know how he feels about the state of the music industry.

The drill music rapper shared a message on his Instagram account to his fans who keep bugging him about dropping new music.

In his post, the Brooklyn rapper claims DSPs won’t put him on their playlists because he doesn’t paint his nails.

“Stop asking me to drop music American DSP and music blogs which they owned as well don’t allow real Bodman on playlists because I don’t paint my fingers,” he wrote. “So it’s pointless…until something is done with the people who own, runs, and manages these platforms [lion emoji].”

One fan commented, “You’re just a one-hit wonder! You got lucky with it.” Another user exclaimed, “Nah, that ain’t it, Bobby. Your last few singles were terrible.” Someone else claimed, “Clean hands vs. painting nails — two different stories, my g.”

Despite his ability to remain relevant, Shmurda doesn’t sound encouraged by his future in the Rap game.
