Grammy Award-winning artist Burna Boy makes triumphant return with “Sittin’ On Top Of The World.”

Produced by Skread, the single features a sample of Brandy’s 1998 hit “Top Of the World” featuring Mase. The new track shows Burna’s romantic side… addressing how he likes to shower his special lady with the finer things, singing: “When you mine you get anything you want.” Not to be boxed into the “global music” category, the song’s composition naturally brings in old-school Hip-Hop and R&B nostalgia, infused with Burna’s anthemic Pop sensibilities. The end result sees the megastar broadening his signature sound to embrace the classic 90’s sample, while maintaining his genre-defining Afro-Fusion roots.

“Sittin’ On Top Of The World” is the song of the summer follow-up to Burna Boy’s RIAA certified platinum single, “Last Last.” The global smash hit was nominated for an 65th Annual Grammy Award, and landed #1 at Urban Radio and became the fastest Afrobeats song to be certified gold and platinum in the U.S.

The new song arrives on the heels of the announcement of yet another historic milestone in the U.S. Produced by Live Nation, the African Giant will be bringing his Grammy-winning music to Citi Field in NYC on July 8, 2023, making him the first Nigerian artist to headline a stadium in the U.S.
