Cam’ron, born Cameron Ezike Giles, has more than once said that he may retire but for now, The Diplomats rapper is still going strong.

Currently, most of the New York City rapper’s energy goes towards the sports talk show he co-hosts with Ma$e entitled “It Is What It Is”, which debuted earlier this year.

In the meantime, Killa Cam will be returning with his first solo project since 2019’s “Purple Haze 2”. That last album marked his first LP in 10 years and served as a sequel to 2004’s “Purple Haze”.

In a video posted to Instagram on Sunday (July 9), the Dipset representative revealed plans to release a new mixtape on July 28.

His post also contained a snippet of a song from the project, which finds him spitting slick bars over a hard-hitting beat.

“No gossiping, I don’t deal with side talk/ I don’t look for spots, man, I park on the sidewalk/ I told the cop, ‘I don’t care, I like to risk it/ I’ll have another car here before you write the ticket…”

Cam’ron didn’t share any further information like an official title for the forthcoming mixtape but told fans that it will be out end of July.

Ma$e was also tagged in the post as well as Cam’ron wrote “the old murda is back,” meaning his talk show co-host likely has a feature on the tape.
