Cam’ron has filed a lawsuit against J. Cole over their 2024 collaboration, “Ready ‘24,” claiming he was not compensated for his contributions and that Cole failed to honor their agreement after the track’s release.

According to court documents, Cam’ron alleges that he provided lyrics and vocals for “Ready ‘24” under the condition that J. Cole would reciprocate with a verse for a future project.

When no collaboration materialized, Cam reportedly suggested Cole appear as a guest on his podcast, “It Is What It Is”. Though Cole initially agreed to participate in a later episode, he allegedly backed out due to unavailability.

“Ready ‘24” debuted in April 2024 as part of Cole’s project “Might Delete Later”.

The rapper also claims he was not compensated for his work on “Ready ‘24” and is only credited as a co-author of the song’s composition, while being excluded from recognition in the recording credits.

Cam’ron contends he is owed a minimum of $500,000 and is requesting financial transparency from Universal Music Group (UMG), named as a co-defendant in the case.
