Diamond-selling superstar Cardi B has just become the first female to achieve the milestone of having every single song on an album certified RIAA Platinum or higher. All 13 tracks on Cardi B’s 3x Platinum selling debut album “Invasion Of Privacy” are now certified at least Platinum, and the smash 2018 album also includes the history-making Diamond (10x Platinum) “Bodak Yellow.” This feat further extends Cardi’s initial record as the first female artist to have every track on an album RIAA certified Gold.
Cardi B also broke records with the explosive success of 2020’s blockbuster single, “WAP (ft. Megan Thee Stallion).” Now certified 7x platinum by the RIAA, “WAP” debuted at #1 on the Billboard “Hot 100” upon its August release – Cardi’s then fourth #1 single in the US, extending her record as the female rapper with the most #1 singles in “Hot 100” history and affirming her as the only female rapper to have reached #1 on the “Hot 100” in two different decades. The track made further history as the first #1 single on the inaugural Billboard “Global 200,” topping that chart for three weeks. Its record-shattering debut earned “WAP” RIAA Gold certification on its first day, and it became one of the top 3 hip-hop streaming debuts of all time along with breaking various other records.
Cardi B’s rambunctious spirit and brave tongue garnered instant online popularity, rapidly increasing her fan base. She has evolved into an entertainer, actress and a renowned rapper in just a short time.
