Cardi B gave her fans a new update about her anticipated sophomore album while speaking with Billboard at the Revolve Festival.
“I almost want to say the name because that’s what it’ll be about,” she said. “I feel like my album is messy. She’s a messy queen.”
With no release date set, Cardi revealed a bit more about the types of songs that will be on the upcoming LP.
“I feel like it’s unexpected and I feel like it’s something that’s not really out right now,” she explained. “It’s gonna be things that people do expect me and a lot of things people don’t expect from me.”
Cardi says this album will be deeply personal, reflecting the highs and lows she’s experienced in life.
“I’ve been heartbroken and then I’m loving again,” she continued, referring to the experiences shaping the project.
The mother-of-three dropped her debut album, “Invasion Of Privacy” in 2018, which skyrocketed to #1 on the Billboard 200 and boasted hits like “Bodak Yellow” and “I Like It” featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny.
