According to Chance The Rapper, Black men are the main oppressors of the Black community. The Chicago artist – real name Chancelor Johnathan Bennett – posted his controversial political position on Twitter most recently.

In the quote that Bennett re-tweeted, it is written:

Back men may be victimized by racism, but sexism allows them to act as exploiters and oppressors of women.

Chance’s position, held by many feminists, has been criticized as “disingenuous” by many in the Black community. They believe that the Illinois rapper’s statement distracts people from discussing the real issues of racial injustice.
