Clipse have dropped a powerful and surreal new video for “Chains & Whips.”

A fan-favorite track off their long-awaited comeback album “Let God Sort ‘Em Out” features a standout verse from Kendrick Lamar.

Directed by Gabriel Moses, the visual is largely filled with somewhat ordinary scenes that are rendered with strange, stretched-out effects.

Kendrick doesn’t appear in the video, but his presence lingers. His verse closes the track with a sharp rejection of superficial accolades. He name-drops Rakim and questions the culture’s obsession with clout, fame, and virality.

Produced by longtime collaborator Pharrell Williams, Clipse released “Let God Sort Em Out” last week, with the album marking the duo’s first in since 2009’s “Til The Casket Drops.”

The 13-track album features Tyler, The Creator, Nas, Stove God Cooks, The-Dream, John Legend, Ab-Liva, and Voices Of Fire.
