On their first album in 16 years, Pusha T and No Malice show that they are still at the top of the game.
Clocking in at 35 minutes, the 13-track album entitled “Let God Sort Em Out” marks the Virginia’s duo first since “Til The Casket Drops.”
With blockbuster features from Tyler, The Creator, Kendrick Lamar, Stove God Cooks, Re-Up Gang affiliate Ab-Liva, and the legendary Nas Escobar, the banging project spans multiple generations of Rap over the course of 13 tracks.
Pharrell, who produced the album in its entirety, also hops on the tracks “All Things Considered” with The-Dream, “E.B.I.T.D.A.,” “So Far Ahead” and “By The Grace Of God.”
The Kendrick Lamar feature is significant because its inclusion on the album led to Clipse parting ways with Def Jam, which was reportedly opposed to the collab.
“Let God Sort Em Out” was also originally supposed to be released by Def Jam before the label wanted the duo to censor Kendrick Lamar’s verse, leading them to depart for Roc Nation.
There is also a mini GOOD Music reunion as John Legend appears on album opener “The Birds Don’t Sing.”
The early reviews are in and they certainly gave Pusha T and No Malice their flowers.
Since initially reuniting in 2019, Clipse have performed together regularly, but ahead of today’s announcement, the most recent taste of new music from the pair had been the debut of track “Birds Don’t Sing” at Pharrell’s Louis Vuitton spring/summer fashion show last June.
