Ready to leave a mark on the game, 21-year-old Detroit rapper Luhh Dyl returns with an utterly undeniable and unpredictable new mixtape entitled “Intrude” via 300 Entertainment.
Asserting himself as “Up Next” out of Motor City and the Midwest, the 13-track project showcases the breadth of his artistry.
Over the course of the mixtape, he dips in and out of dynamic production, alternating between otherworldly bars and effortlessly catchy hooks.
Whether it be the introspective “Chosen” where he reflects with gratitude, “I thank God for all my trials and tribulations that made this man,” or the bold wordplay of “Not A Rapper,” you’ll hear every side of Luhh Dyl.
The project also incorporates Jazz influences including a prominent sample of Duke Ellington and John Coltrane’s “In a Sentimental Mood” on standout track “Be Foreal.”
He doesn’t go it alone though. Anointed by fellow rising Detroit luminaries, Veeze blesses “Slow Down” with a guest appearance, and Sada Baby lends his instantly recognizable flow to a new version of “Penny Pinchin.” Repping Flint, MI, Lil Lik also goes bar-for-bar with Luhh Dyl on “Get Loose,” culminating on a chantable chorus, “If you wanna hang with the gang, then bring ten friends.”
