After two months in a Brooklyn prison, Sean “Diddy” Combs has been denied his request to be released on bail for a third time on Wednesday (January 27).

According to the ruling, Judge Arun Subramanian wrote that “no condition or combination of conditions will reasonably assure the safety of the community.”

Combs’ lawyers previously proposed what they called “an extremely substantial, comprehensive bail package” with a $50 million bond.

According to reports, Subramanian also mentioned “evidence supporting a serious risk of witness tampering” contributed to his decision. Combs has been accused of sending text messages to a witness, an escort who received a grand jury subpoena due to their alleged participation in several “freak-offs.”

Diddy’s legal team previously denied any interference in the grand jury process.

Subramanian determined “there is compelling evidence of Combs’s propensity for violence,” citing the 2016 surveillance video of Diddy attacking Cassie Ventura.

“Given the nature of the allegations in this case and the information provided by the government, the Court doubts the sufficiency of any conditions that place trust in Combs and individuals in his employ—like a private security detail—to follow those conditions,” Subramanian wrote.

Diddy has been behind bars since his September arrest for sex trafficking and racketeering charges, to which he pleaded not guilty. He was denied bail three times before the most recent ruling.
